  • Kazakhstan Hosts Nationwide “Car-Free Day” Campaign

Anyone can take part – just leave your car at home for a day and choose a more eco-friendly way to get around.

As part of the Taza Qazaqstan Environmental Culture Development Concept for 2024-2029 and with the goal of promoting a healthy lifestyle, the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan has launched the nationwide environmental campaign “Car-Free Day.”

The campaign aims to raise awareness about sustainable and environmentally friendly modes of transport such as bicycles, scooters, and public transportation. It’s the fourth consecutive year that this initiative is being held in Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports is actively supporting the development of cycling in Kazakhstan, with programs focused on BMX, mountain biking, road cycling, and track racing. Today, more than 10,000 people across the country regularly take part in cycling activities.
