The Embassy of India in Astana will host the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 on 21 June at the city’s iconic Botanical Garden, under the global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The event will begin at 06:00 with a special yoga session featuring 108 Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskars), followed by the official ceremony at 07:45. The celebration will include guided yoga demonstrations, cultural performances, and the participation of yoga practitioners, officials, and community members.
As in previous years, large gatherings are expected not only in Astana but also in other major cities such as Almaty, Shymkent, Aktau, and Petropavl, reflecting the growing popularity of yoga across Kazakhstan.
The International Day of Yoga, recognized by the United Nations since 2014, promotes holistic well-being and brings together millions of people worldwide to celebrate the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga.
