  • Almaty Schoolgirl Ranks Among Top 3 Young Inventors in the World

    A student from Almaty, Dana Kadyrbek, has been named one of the top three young inventors in the world at the Cleantech Days Forum 2026, held at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, infotabigat.kz reports.

    The 11th-grade student presented an innovative technology that produces drinking water from atmospheric air. The system is designed for use in arid regions and areas facing severe water shortages.

    Kadyrbek has already gained international recognition, including winning the gold medal at the World Innovation and Creative Olympic (WICO) in Seoul and receiving awards at several other scientific competitions.

    In Kazakhstan, her project has received institutional support, including a memorandum for pilot implementation of the technology and a special award from the mayor of Almaty.

    Her achievements have been widely recognized in the academic community and are seen as a promising solution for future water supply systems in drought-prone regions.
